Grief to Grace Retreats™
A Gentle Retreat for Women Navigating Loss
From Grief to Grace

At HerEra Experiences™, we believe grief is not something to be erased. It is something to be witnessed, softened, and carried differently over time. Grief to Grace Retreats™ offer women a sacred pause, a compassionate community, and a gentle path toward healing, self-discovery, and hope.

Because even after loss, grace can find its way in.
"There comes a moment in grief when you are not who you were, but not yet sure who you are becoming. This is where grace begins."
A Safe Place to Simply Be
Grief to Grace Retreats™ are women-only retreats created for women navigating loss, life transition, and the tender crossroads of becoming someone new after everything has changed. These retreats are designed for the woman who has been holding so much, who may no longer recognize the life she is standing in, and who needs a gentle, compassionate space to breathe, rest, reflect, and begin again.
This is not a retreat about rushing healing or forcing transformation. It is a safe container where women are invited to simply be. To feel what is ready to be felt. To rest where they are tired. To reconnect with themselves in small, meaningful ways. And to be surrounded by other women who understand that grief changes everything.

Guided with Compassion and Experience

Each retreat is led by Deanna Byrne, an internationally accredited grief coach, internationally accredited life coach, and somatic therapy practitioner. Through her personal and professional experience, Deanna brings together gentle grief workshops, somatic movement, body-based therapy, reflection, meditation, and compassionate coaching to support women as they begin to release what grief has held in the body.
The work is tender, intentional, and deeply respectful. Every activity is designed to meet women where they are, without pressure, expectation, or judgment.

Your Retreat Experience
Grief to Grace Retreats™ are thoughtfully curated to nourish the mind, body, and spirit. During your weekend, you can expect gentle workshops, guided reflection, somatic movement, meditation, spiritual mornings, quiet time, healthy meals, access to restorative amenities such as saunas, and beautifully appointed accommodations designed to help you feel cared for and supported.
The rhythm of the retreat is intentionally gentle. There is time for learning, time for stillness, time for conversation, and time to rest. Every detail is created to offer comfort, safety, and space for women to begin navigating life beyond loss at their own pace.
Fully Inclusive Retreat Packages
Participants are able to book a fully inclusive retreat package that includes accommodations, meals, workshops, retreat programming, and supportive experiences throughout the weekend. For guests flying into Halifax, we can also assist with arranging transportation from Halifax Stanfield International Airport to August House, making your arrival as smooth and supported as possible.
Ongoing Support After the Retreat
Healing does not end when the weekend is over. To continue supporting participants after the retreat, Deanna also offers three months of weekly two-hour group coaching sessions via Zoom. These sessions provide continued connection, guidance, and community as women begin integrating what they discovered during the retreat into everyday life.
This extended support allows participants to continue growing, reflecting, and moving forward with the reassurance that they are not alone.
Who This Retreat Is For
Grief to Grace Retreats™ are for women who are navigating loss, widowhood, life transition, identity shifts, or the deep emotional changes that come after grief. They are for the woman standing at a crossroads, wondering who she is now and what life may look like from here.
You do not need to have the answers before you arrive.
You do not need to be ready to move on.
You only need to be willing to be held in a space where your grief is honoured, your story is respected, and your next chapter is allowed to unfold gently.
